Spicy Thai Dip (Halal)

Otherwise known as Nam Jim Jaew.

The Thais have long unlocked that irresistible combination of sweet, sour and spicy that just seem to go well with pretty much anything. Truthfully, we’re still tweaking the recipe as we speak to get to that perfect level of spiciness that everyone will enjoy. This one is intentionally kept to the beginner’s level while we have a spicier version for the hot heads here. Feel free to add in more sliced cili padi if you prefer a stronger kick.

Ingredients: Tamarind, fish sauce, lime juice, so much coriander, shallots, chilli, brown sugar, toasted glutinous rice.
